Keynote Lectures to be held as plenary by international experts in the field of neuroscience nursing and neurological surgery. Speakers have been chosen based on their expertise in their respective areas. Joint Sessions with the EANN and the SBNS on Day One of the Congress will be held ln the Exchange Auditorium in Manchester Central Convention Complex. Scientific Sessions chaired by clinicians with excellence in the field. Workshops these sessions will provide those attending the Congress with discussion, practical or interactive opportunities on a neuroscience subject, and the possibility for developing ideas for further collaborative work.

Qualified from The Royal London Hospital Medical College, University of London in 1988. He trained in neurosurgery in Cambridge, London and Manchester. He was appointed consultant neurosurgeon in Manchester in 1998 and appointed Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Manchester in 2012. He has published over 60 papers in peer review journals on subjects including subarachnoid haemorrhage, intracerebral haemorrhage, head injury and skull base pathology. His subspecialty interest is skull base surgery.
She received a baccalaureate degree in nursing from Boston College, an MSN from the University of Rhode Island, an MA in counseling from Rhode Island College, a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, and a post-master's certificate as a nurse practitioner from Duke University.

Sir Alex received his first honorary degree from University of Salford in 1996 and was knighted in the 1999 Queen's Birthday Honours list, for his services to the game. She received her medical degree from University of Athens and has published over 190 articles and currently co-chairs the glioblastoma working group, National Cancers Institute, USA. Her subspecialty includes neuro-oncology.
